Democracy and Features of Democracy.

Democracy is known as the finest form of government, because in a democracy, the people of the country choose their government. They enjoy certain rights which are very essential for any human being to live freely and happily. There are various democratic countries in the world, but India is the largest one. Democracy is very important for human development. When people have free will to live freely, they will be happier. Moreover, we have seen how other forms of government have turned out to be. Democracy lets people have equal rights.

There are some features of democracy are: the first most important feature of democracy is that the citizens hold the power of government. While it might appear as though the government is all-powerful, this is not the case since the government derives its power from the people. Through their right to vote, the citizens elect their government representatives.

The second feature of democracy is that the political decisions that have a significance in the lives of the citizens are decided through the voting process. Needs of the citizens can be fulfil in the national platform through the elected members and citizens are allowed to vote directly with any restrictions.

The third feature of democracy is; it ensures that the principal of rule is achieved since it is the people who empower the government to work and voting is extremely important aspect of democratic process in which the citizen chooses the political influence through the voting process.

To conclude, while there are many features but these are some important feature of democracy. The superiority of the citizens over the government is ensured since the people choose the government and are involved in the major decision-making. The fundamental rights of each citizen are also given because of our democracy.
